Stiffler-McGraw engineer John Clabaugh told Williamsburg Municipal Authority members during last Tuesday’s meeting that the Yellow Springs sewer replacement is now complete. All of the testing has also been completed, and Clabaugh said the next inspection of the project will be in October of 2024.
At last month’s meeting, Cenveo requested permission to continue to monitor the waste stream for non-sanitary wastes following the conversion to air dryers. The authority was willing to permit this last month, in lieu of a grinder for the time being provided there was not an increase of non-sanitary or dangerous debris. Since the last meeting, Clabaugh reported that there was no correspondence received from Cenveo.
The authority discussed a request from the Farm Show to get water to the baseball field, which would require crossing a sewer main. Clabaugh suggested a water line extension, and authority member Daryl Cole suggested a meter pit with their own service. No further discussion was held on the topic.
Cole made a motion to accept the agreement with Stiffler-McGraw for another year.
“We couldn’t function without them,” Chairman Ed Patterson said.
Cole agreed. “We have a great engineer.”
David Myers said the budget would be presented soon.
“We are waiting on numbers,” he said.
