On Dec. 7, the Williamsburg Women's Civic Club presented the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department Station 90 a check for $2,000.
The money will be placed in the truck fund to help Station 90 purchase a new fire truck.
To date, Station 90 has $150,000 in the fund, but the cost of a truck is around $500,000.
Chief Travis Prough said, "For a small community we are doing very well, but getting new apparatus presents a challenge."
The fire company hopes to replace a 1995 truck. Anyone who would like to donate to the truck fund can mail donations to the Williamsburg Fire Department, 305 East 2nd Street, Williamsburg, PA 16693.
