Firest Snowfall Hits Cove

The season’s first snowfall hit the Cove, dumping seven inches of snow and bringing winds of up to 42 miles an hour. Several accidents were reported, including one serious one that sent a woman to the hospital with back injuries.

Charles Eisentrout of 209 S. Market St, Martinsburg, was elected coordinator of the Cooperative Education Program conducted by the Altoona Area Vocational-Technical School. Mr Eisentrout was employed at the Williamsburg Community High School as a teacher of vocational training, mechanical drawing and architectural design.
