On Saturday, Nov. 26, Southern Cove Fire Company held its annual craft show in the Replogle School building. This has been an ongoing tradition for years.
Vendors lined the downstairs and upstairs with various items. The spirit of Christmas was alive with folks laughing and enjoying looking at the talents of many with their displays.
Michelle Conrad, with the assistance of her husband, oversaw this year’s event. Conrad has assisted the fire company for many years and has been an associate member for over a year.

The fire company holds events throughout the year to help raise funds for the trucks. Their well-known turkey dinner is every third Sunday of the month. This is a drive-through dinner and the next one is Dec. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Many vendors set out to keep the Christ in Christmas. Among the fun and whimsical items were beautiful manger and country Christmas scenes.
Jerome Bollman of Everett has been doing wood crafts for over 15 years now. He had a display of wooden hand-crafted items among them beautiful crafted verses of the bible on wood.
Barbie doll clothes, everyday and formal wear, were made and sold by Barbara.
Tonya Thomas had a unique item that she calls Diamond Panting. These were beautiful Christmas cards filled with small beads. She has been doing this for two years and she is from Hopewell.
Red Klotz of Klotz Kraft’s made beautiful Christmas wreaths of bright colors, garland and baskets full of pine and ribbon that said “believe” on them.
Food was available such as homemade soup, hot dogs, and delicious baked goods such as peanut butter iced chocolate cake.
Outside the Southern Cove EMS continued to sell their live wreaths.
