Southern Cove EMS Coordinator Speaks at Woodbury Meeting

On Nov. 6, Woodbury Borough had its monthly council meeting at the Woodbury Community Center at 7 p.m.

Southern Cove EMS Coordinator Keven Brumbaugh was present at the meeting to discuss the Southern Cove Ambulance and the Hollidaysburg Ambulance new agreement. Hollidaysburg will work with Southern Cove on calls, especially ones that need an EMS when a crew is not available in Southern Cove. Hollidaysburg will honor Southern Cove Ambulance subscriptions. Cards come in the mail from Southern Cove to join. If you do not receive one, please call them and get your card.

Woodbury Area Community Center submitted a report to the council. As of Sept. 27, the balance in the treasurer report is $23,729.57.

The Bedford County Association of Municipalities report reflected the meetings for next year: Jan. 24 and Sept. 25.

The 2024 Budget was reviewed and adopted tentatively.

The council thanked the Southern Cove Fire Company for its help with Trick or Treat in Woodbury. The safety of the children and community is always first and by having assistance, it was a great night for Trick or Treat from all.

The SCEMS/Hollidaysburg Ambulance Legion Ambulance Service Mutual Agreement was approved by the council.

A grant application has been submitted for a new truck for the borough.

Secretary Wilt announced a PA Municipal Education Institute course on subdivision and land development will be given over three sessions amounting to 11 hours.

Resolution 2023-04 was signed, setting the tax millage for 2024 to 1.5.
