Last week I related how my son, Bob, and our friend “Scout” tagged turkeys on last autumn’s opening Saturday.
I, on the other hand, had to try to do as much hunting during the one-week season as I could if I were not to “eat crow” for Thanksgiving.
Monday found me back at the location where Bob and Scout had downed their birds. There was no activity. Just about the time I had decided to start to cover some ground, it began to rain.
