In the final matchup of their regular season, the Lady Dragon Soccer team faced the Huntingdon Lady Bearcats at home. The Dragons’ combined effort allowed the 6-4 victory over the Bearcats. In the first half, the Dragons let up an early goal, but bounced back with a goal by Bethanie Kensinger assisted by Paiton Campbell. The Bearcats scored once again, but the Dragons responded with three more of their own before the half ended. The first was from Lakkyn Dibert, assisted by Carlie Hart, followed by an unassisted goal by Campbell and then a final goal by Addison Long assisted by Kira Trexler. The Bearcats fought back in the second half, but two goals from Dibert, one assisted by Trexler and the other by Long, kept them at bay. The combined defensive effort was led by Goalkeeper Lacey Ripka, who had ten saves throughout the game. The Dragons finish the regular season with a record of 11-7, heading into playoffs with a match against the Somerset Lady Eagles in the first round.
