The season’s first snow fell early Monday in Morrisons Cove, but it melted by the time school buses started their rounds.

One hundred and twenty-seven walkers started on the ten mile Cove CROP walk. Rev. Gerald E. Moorhead and the Rev. John Cassel, general chairmen on the project to aid CROP (Community Hunger Appeal of Church World Service) were pleased with the turnout which was about 125 more than expected.
