Not in recent years has so much property been damaged and destroyed during the time of Halloween as on Monday night. And it is a woeful fact, that never before have we noticed so many small children, little boys and girls on the streets, boldly taking part in this vile and superstitious nonsense.
Allen M. Vandevander of Williamsburg died of tuberculosis at the Roaring Spring Sanitorium. He was born Feb. 16, 1868 and was the son of the late Peter Vandevander.
