Lady Dragon Soccer Falls in Close Matches

The Lady Dragon Soccer team faced both the Tyrone Lady Golden Eagles and the Bishop Guilfoyle Lady Marauders in the prior week, falling to both with scores of 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.

Against the Golden Eagles, the Dragons started with the lead after Kira Trexler scored in the first half, assisted by Leya Hazenstab. Sadly, in the second half, the Eagles scored two goals less than a minute apart to create a deficit that the Dragons couldn't come back from.

The Dragons faced a similar fate in their match against the Marauders. After a pair of goals from Carli Hart in the first half, one assisted by Lakkyn Dibert and another unassisted, the Marauders scored once in the first half and once in the second to tie the game and send it to overtime. Despite Goalkeeper Lacey Ripka's 11 saves, the Marauders had the sole goal of overtime, giving them the victory.

Now with a record of 10-6, the Dragons have a sole home game in the upcoming week against the Penns Valley Area Lady Rams.
