The Swarthmore Chautauqua Guarantors held a meeting recently in the Presbyterian Church at which time it was announced that the Chautauqua will be held again this year in the D’Ford theatre on Oct. 30, 31, and Nov. 1.

Mr. and Mrs Jackson Bechtel, Mrs Sadie Snyder, and O. H. Bechtel, of Knox County, Ohio, arrived at New Enterprise to visit relatives. The trip was an enjoyable one over the hills and mountains by way of the National Road via Myersdale and Bedford.

A little daughter arrived Friday night in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Steele, of South Market street.
