Streetscape to Begin

Borough manager Randy Stoltz informed Martinsburg Borough Council that the borough’s streetscape project would tentatively begin next summer. After meeting with PennDOT and other consultants, he said preliminary estimates show the borough has enough money to complete the sidewalk replacement project.
On October 5, the Claysburg Kimmel community celebrated Homecoming with events to raise funds for the local food bank. Local organizations and churches held fundraisers, but the big event was the Homecoming Show. Locals performed skits and musical numbers. The musical group Room 102, a Claysburg Kimmel High School group formed in the 70’s, reunited for the night. Over $20,000 was raised for the food bank, with more donations promised.
The Hollidaysburg Ambulance Service, known as HALAS, was soliciting local businesses for donations to fund “vascular access devices” to place on each of their Advanced Life Support ambulances.
