Gerald W. "Bill" Summers

Gerald W. “Bill” Summers, 82, of rural Martinsburg, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 9, 2023, at his home.

He was born July 7, 1941, in rural Martinsburg, son of the late Melvin H. and Kathryn R. (Graybill) Summers. On Dec. 2, 1968, he married Susan M. Eisenberger in Winchester, VA. She preceded him in death Feb. 3, 1998 following 29 years of marriage.

He is survived by a step-son, Donald P. Defibaugh (Dorothy) of rural Martinsburg; three step-grandchildren: Sheri L. Defibaugh, Scott M. Defibaugh and Renee D. Moore (C.J.); four step great-grandchildren: Marshal Leach (Keirsten), Bradan Defi...
