Vocational School Begins

The vocational school in Martinsburg enrolled a total of 161 students for the fall term. The domestic sciences department was serving a hot lunch every day at minimum cost. The menu will be posted daily on the bulletin board.

The second death in the family from typhoid fever occurred Friday afternoon at the Nason Hospital, when Adam K. Burget of Millerstown succumbed to the dread malady.

The voters of Bedford county want a candidate for Sheriff who is a married man, knowing that in this county conditions are such that the Sheriff’s wife must be the matron at the jail and must be a good woman. Charles E. Campbell is the only candidate for Sheriff who is married, and he has a good wife

Friends to the number of seventy assembled at the home of Mr.and Mrs. G. Z. Replogle last Thursday night, where they gave to Mr. and Mrs. Replogle’s son Paul and wife, newlyweds, an up-to-date kitchen shower.
