The other day my hospice agency held a first ever memorial open house. In the past we’ve done a more formal service honoring those who had died, which was not well attended. Each year we’re obligated to hold something for those who have lost loved ones within the last twelve months. We decided just to make it an informal gathering this year. Not many showed up for it either. Those who did discussed the final days of their loved one as well as reviewing their lives.
