The Claysburg Area Food Pantry was the recipient of several donations that helped with the organization’s financial struggles. U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster delivered 500 pounds of meat to the food pantry after purchasing a steer at the Somerset County Fair. The C&S Market in Claysburg was also holding a donation drive for the pantry.

Dave Cadle of Williamsburg was presented with the Norma J. Shanholtz Community Service Award given by the Williamsburg Women’s Civic Club. The award recognizes citizens of Williamsburg who have gone above and beyond to serve the community.
