“New … And, Hopefully, Improved,” could be the marketing slogan if Claysburg-Kimmel High School decided to run an ad campaign touting its 2023 Bulldog football team.

The Bulldogs will come out to a newly refurbished field when it opens the season on Friday against visiting Berlin Brothersvalley, with new head coach Chuck Kassick unleashing a new-style offense with a lot of new faces at the skill positions.

That’s made for a lot of new optimism for a program trying to turn around a 1-9 campaign last fall.
