A Beary Interesting Saturday Morning

This black bear found itself in a tree at the home of Stephen and Amanda Snyder in New Enterprise.

On Saturday morning at about 8:30, the bear climbed the tree above the Snyders' chicken coop. The bear had a tag in each ear.

The Game Commission came and tranquilized the bear, then took it away in a trap. The bear had been tagged in Lycoming County previously and weighed 173 pounds at that time. It will be returned to Lycoming County.
