According to Martinsburg Borough police, on Friday, June 2, at approximately 11:15 a.m., traffic in the eastbound lane of West Allegheny St., just past S. Railroad St., had come to a stop. A silver SUV had failed to notice traffic at a standstill and slammed into the back of a Honda Silver Wing Scooter, pushing it into the vehicle in front of it.
The operator of the motorcycle sustained a reported broken leg and foot and was transported to Conemaugh Nason Medical Center in Roaring Spring. Police said the driver of the SUV was cited for careless driving.
