Softball
The third seeded Lady Dragons faced the second seeded Juniata Lady Indians in the district six AAA semi-finals. A 6-0 loss will now end the Dragons' season. Early on in the game, the Dragons gave up a mere three runs to the Indians in the bottom of the first. The score for a majority of the rest of the game would remain the same until the bottom of the sixth inning, where the Indians added another three to their total to solidify a loss for the Dragons. The Dragons attained a mere two hits, one from Madison Kennedy and another from Kennedy Hoyt, while facing 17 strikeouts. This game marks the end of the Lady Dragons' season, finishing with a record of 17-5.
Baseball
In the District Six class AAA semi-finals, the Dragons faced the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers at home. An 18-3 devastating loss puts an end to the Dragons' season. In the top of the first, starting pitcher Kaleb Mountain walked three batters on 13 pitches before being relieved by Mason Sparks. The inning ended with 5 runs for the Mountaineers while the score for the Dragons remained at zero. Another run for the Mountaineers came in the second inning before the Dragons cut their lead in half in the third inning with a double RBI from Baron Dionis and another RBI by Kyle Klotz. Sadly, the Dragons score remained at three for the rest of the game, while the Mountaineers scored six more runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to end the mercy-rule game. The Dragons ended the game with a mere five hits, while walking 12 Phillipsburg batters. The loss ends the Dragons' season, putting them at a record of 19-3.
