African Drummers To Visit Claysburg

The Claysburg Area Public Library will kick-off its Summer Reading Programs on June 15 with African Drummers. The theme of this year’s Summer Quest is “All Together Now.” The library will take the children on an educational trip around the world. An emphasis will be that people are different and we need to respect one another and appreciate the differences.

Each week for six weeks, a different continent will be presented showing cultural differences. June 22 will feature Asian countries. June 29 will cover Australia. July 6 will highlight Europe. On July 13 participants return home to North America.

Finally, on July 20 those in attendance will head south to South America. Each continent has its challenges and the different countries must work together to conquer these challenges.
