R. Barry Isenberg, 79, of Williamsburg, is now “All In God’s Hands”, Saturday morning, May 20, 2023, at the James E. VanZandt VA Medical Center, Altoona.
He was born June 8, 1943, in Boyertown, Berks County, son of the late, Raymond C. and Bernadine M. “Deanie” Isenberg. On Dec. 13, 1965, he married Mary Ann Robinson in Elkton, MD.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann of 57 years; a daughter, Barrina Kae Hall (Randy) of Williamsburg; a son, Troy Darren Isenberg (Rita) of Altoona; three grandchildren: Brock Hall (Lauren), Zachariah Hall and Sierra Hall; three greatgrandchildren: Zachary, Roman and Elias; a brother, Kevin A. Isenberg (Linda) of Williamsburg; and his favorite pets: Furby and Tifa.
Barry was a 1961 graduate of Williamsburg High School and was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was employed for 25 years at the Fonda Group Inc., Williamsburg until the plants closing in 2004. Barry then retired after working for five years as a security guard at WestVaco in Williamsburg.
Barry was a member of the Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg. He loved spending time with his family, especially going to his children and grandchildren’s games and events. Barry also enjoyed watching game shows and his favorite sports teams: Penn State, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Indians.
A funeral was held Wednesday, May 24 at the John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg (www.bolgerfuneralhome.com). Mr. David Cadle officiated. Interment with military honors was held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
