The Southern Cove Power Reunion Award Banquet took place on the club grounds with about 200 folks attending. Weather was not a problem for the banquet, but quickly changed for the tractor pull, which had to be canceled due to rain and will be held Saturday, May 27, with weigh-in at 3 p.m. and start at 4 p.m.
The awards, presented by President Fred Mellott, started with Distinguished Member of the Year, which went to Dennis Wiles. Steve Ayers was named Member of the Year. The Deceased Member of the Year honored Don Rettburg. Rettburg's son Joel accepted the award.
Open Class Puller of the Year was Mike Ritchey. Farm Stock Puller of the Year was Robert Bailey, who was not present. Wayne Burket won the Antique Award of the Year.

Six raffle baskets were available to take chances on as well as tickets for a tractor and other items to be given away at the fall show. Gun raffle tickets also to be given away at the fall show were being sold.
The club looks forward to having tractor pulls for the rest of the season. Admission is always free as a giveback to the community.
