Claysburg-Kimmel High School commencement will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at noon. The ceremony will take place at the Claysburg Athletic Complex.
Seventy-three students will graduate from Claysburg-Kimmel in the Class of 2023.
The program will begin with reflections by Class Treasurer Chelsie Noah. The Pledge of Alliance, led by Class Secretary Sarah Helsel, will follow. Class President Emma Gill will present an address of welcome. The salutatorian's address will then be done by Taylor Mowry, followed by the valedictorian's address by Robert Schneider.
Class Vice President Erica Norotsky will present the Teacher Appreciation Award.
Principal Charles Kassick will present the Class of 2023, followed by the presentation of diplomas by Board President Richard Gergley and Superintendent Mark Loucks.
The ceremony will conclude with the Alma Mater, played by the senior flute ensemble.
The class advisor is Jennifer L. Kruise.
The class motto is, "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory." – Dr. Seuss.
The class song is "Good Riddance" by Green Day.
The class colors are dark blue, icy blue and white. The class flower is the white tulip.
