Northern Bedford FBLA Members Raising Funds For National Conference

Northern Bedford County Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) has had its most significant year to date with more than 70 members and a record-breaking number of 25 national qualifiers. Twenty of the qualifying members are competing in the national conference in Atlanta, GA next month, and these members are raising funds to offset the cost of their trip. Community members can support these developing leaders through various opportunities.

A drive-through soup sale will be held on Monday, May 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Northern Bedford County High School. Soup choices include creamy chicken noodle or ham and bean. The cost is $10 for one quart of soup, two rolls and two chocolate chip cookies. Soup will be distributed behind the Northern Bedford County High School near the entrance of Panther Community Stadium. Call (814) 932-3016 for more information.

Students are also holding a car wash and bake sale at the Roaring Spring True Value, 7565 Woodbury Pike, Roaring Spring, on Sat., June 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations will be welcomed for car washes and baked goods.

Donations can also be mailed to the school. Checks can be made payable to Northern Bedford FBLA and mailed to 152 NBC Dr., Loysburg, PA 16659.

Additional qualifier

An additional member was invited to go to the national FBLA conference.

The qualifier was Ava Whisker in Public Speaking.
