The Spring Cove School District is cutting its administrative staff by not hiring anyone new to replace Central High School Principal David W. Thompson. Thompson resigned to accept a position with Penn State Altoona.

Christian Bridenbaugh recently signed a national letter of intent to continue his baseball career and education on a baseball scholarship at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. A factor in his final decision will be the amateur draft in early June. Several scouts have indicated that he could be an early round selection.
