The Central High School marching band traveled to the Washington, D.C., area April 14-16 for a trip that included a performance at the National Museum of the Marine Corps on Sunday, April 16.
The trip also included stops at the National Archives Museum, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, and a walking tour of the monuments and war memorials on April 14, a day of fun at King's Dominion amusement park on April 15, and a visit to Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center (Smithsonian Museum of Air and Space Annex) on April 16.
The marching band students did an excellent job of representing their school district and community positively throughout this trip. The CHS marching band is led by director Mrs. Gabrielle Swackhamer and assistant director Mr. Daniel Drumm.
