Woodbury Hears Houck's Stormwater Plans

For the past few months, Rick Houck has been planning on a stormwater project at his home in Woodbury Township. Houck attended last Thursday evening’s township meeting with his engineer Josh Gunnett to finalize a waiver and to get plans for approval. The first waiver asked to use private wage rates instead of prevailing wages on cost estimate. Ed Clark made the motion to grant waiver with Craig Hamilton seconding. The motion passed. Next, Houck asked for plans to be finalized. Plans cannot be finalized until a financial security was in the hands of the Township. Houck said he would get a letter of credit from his bank, and upon receipt of that letter.

Once again, the Woodbury Township building will be used for a board of elections polling location.

Roadmaster Craig Hamilton talked about tree trimming quotes – most importantly, trees on Mock’s Bridge Road. Supervisors agreed that there are “roads that really need it,” Clark said.

Supervisors instructed Hamilton that quotes should not exceed $10,000. Clark made the motion for the $10,000 budget with Hamilton seconding, motion passed.

The 2023 DCED Audit was completed, and Clark made a motion to accept the audit with Hamilton seconding. The motion passed. According to Township Secretary Kelsie Lego, the only findings in the audit was as in past years: an inventory should be completed of all the equipment and other supplies owned by the Township.

Following the meeting, a planning seminar was held for changes to the land development ordinance.
