Roaring Spring
Nancy J. Holsinger, 76, of rural Roaring Spring, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday afternoon, March 14, 2023, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born Dec. 11, 1946, in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Howard H. Sr. and Helen (Osman) Johnson. On July 3, 1965 she married Robert B. Holsinger in East Sharpsburg.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Bob of 57 years; two daughters: Bobby Jo Rodgers (Michael) of Roaring Spring and Pam S. Hammel (Roger) of Hollidaysburg; a son, Rodger D. Holsinger (Jenetta) of Hollidaysburg; seven grandchildren: Ambrie Dilling (John), Mickey Rodgers (Megan), Alan Hammel, Courtney Holsinger, Meaghan Holsinger, Ella Holsinger and Lillian Holsinger; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris J. Evans of Claysburg; very close friend, Lori Kephart; and her canine companion, Jasmine.
She was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Nancy attended high school while living in Ohio. She retired as a house keeper from the Presbyterian Village in Hollidaysburg, with 30 years of service.
She loved spending time with her family and dressing up for her favorite holiday, Halloween. Nancy also enjoyed sewing, crafting, doing puzzles, going to yard sales, playing the lottery and watching scary movies.
A funeral took place Saturday, March 18, 2023, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, (www.bolgerfuneralhome.com). Pastor Tim Guyer officiated. Interment followed at East Sharpsburg Cemetery.
