Kathryn Jane Hinish

Kathryn Jane Hinish, also known as FlowerWitch, 31, originally of Reedsville, passed away on March 16, 2023, in New York City after a brief illness.

Kate was the daughter of father Joseph Hinish and stepmother Tracy Hinish and mother Ellie Sievers and stepfather Mark Sievers. In addition to her parents Kate is survived by her maternal grandmother Patricia McKnight, sister Carly Vance (Dave) and nephew Jackson, step siblings Kaylee Keller and Chad Sievers.

Kate was preceded in death by grandparents Joseph and Janie Hinish and Jack McKnight, as well as cousins Zack and Conner Hinish.

Kate graduated in 2010 from Indian Valley High School and then attended Penn State University earning a degree in economics. After graduating Kate fulfilled a lifelong dream of living in New York City working as a floral designer.

Kate would light up any room and was known best for her karaoke skills and comedic banter. Kate enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, music and, animals, including her cat Lima Bean.

A celebration of Kate’s life was held Sunday, March 19, 2023, at King-Barr Funeral Home, Lewistown.

A Celebration of Life will also be planned for early summer.
