Martinsburg Mennonite Church Participates In Socialization Events With Members And Family

In the past month Martinsburg Mennonite Church had two events to help to increase socialization and to support community restaurants.

On Wednesday, March 8, the group had lunch at 11:30 a.m. at La Fiesta Restaurant at the Blair County Airport with 16 in attendance.

Each Sunday, the group gets together after church to eat dinner at another local restaurant. This past Sunday, they ate at the Spring House Grille (shown) in Roaring Spring. Nineteen attended this event.

This small but mighty church has an event each month to help support the community. Clothed by Grace will be held on March 18th, 10 a.m. to noon. Feel free to visit and find some clothing. Members of the church will also be there to pray for attendees and provide a listening ear.

Easter Sunday this church will be having a breakfast from 8:30 to 10 a.m., when church service begins.

On April 28, the group will go to Cumberland Valley to assist in stitching and knotting quilts, putting strings in cloth bags etc. This is a wonderful time to socialize and see what God is doing for people in their mission work.

This church will be looking for a new pastor next year, as the current pastor will be retiring. Those interested may contact the Chair of the Pastor Church Committee Judith Ott at (814) 932-6166 to discuss.
