Woodcock Valley Lions once again sold its famous Swiss Steak Dinner, including noodles, corn, coleslaw, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. Homemade cake was given for dessert. This was a takeout dinner only.
This well-known dinner has been served by the Lions since 1985. COVID did stop the dinners for a while and they lost some members due to COVID.
Deb McKnight is in charge of the kitchen and oversaw as well as packed the dinners to take out.
The Lions will have meals to take out the first Saturday in the months of April, May, September, October and November from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. or until sold out.
Currently the club has 12-15 members and struggle to keep things going. Members are getting older and new members are hard to get. Volunteers as well as members are needed. President of the club is Mark Nicholas.
