Roaring Spring
Lois G. Ritchey, 89, a resident of Maybrook Hills, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at the home.
She was born May 15, 1933, at home in Blair Township, daughter of the late Sheldon E. and Gladys M. (Baker) Hite.
She is survived by her children: Fred Ritchey (Becky) of Williamsburg, Tim Ritchey (Lois) of Roaring Spring, Jeff Ritchey (Winnie) of Blue Knob, Kevin Ritchey (Theresa) of East Freedom, and Debbie Lutz of Hollidaysburg; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Jane Doebler, Patricia Smith, and Suzie Ickes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred F. Ritchey in 1992; a daughter, Mary Ann Ritchey; a son, Monte Dru Ritchey; a granddaughter Amy Ritchey-Taylor; three sisters: Dolores Dodson, Marjorie Hite, and Audrey Glass; and a brother, Sheldon Hite.
Lois attended St. Patrick’s School. She previously worked at Slinky in Hollidaysburg.
She enjoyed line-dancing, camping, and was an avid collector of Native American memorabilia.
Private visitation for family will be held from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service, Wednesday, March 1 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Duncansville, http://www.(BrownFuneralAndCremation.com). Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
