Authority Has Concerns with Cenveo

“It’s up to you. It’s a matter of policy,” Stiffler McGraw Engineer John Clabaugh said as he addressed the Williamsburg Municipal Authority during its meeting last Tuesday morning.

Clabaugh said there has been questionable discharge coming from Cenveo again – hand towels, syringes, and commercial-grade adhesive has all been found.

“This has got to stop,”authority member Harry Mullins said.

Clabaugh said Cenveo has been consistently better since the authority’s last meeting. The authority discussed contacting Solicitor Nathan Karn about a draft letter with some ideas to prevent this from happening again, such as installation of macerator, sampler and a screening unit.

“You’ve got to work with them,” Mullins said.

The authority discussed meeting with Cenveo to discuss these issues.

“They have been doing well for a while,” Clabaugh said.

Resolution 2023-02 was passed to put into the Authority’s rules and regulations that landlords will not be allowed to shut off water following the opening of a unit. Resolution 2023-03 was passed granting Borough Secretary Lisa Dishong the ability to dispose correctly of records from 2016 and earlier.

The authority will be looking for a new office manager as Dishong announced that she will be leaving the position in a few months. The authority discussed that one to two people could be hired to fill this role at 20-30 hours per week. They are hoping the position would be filled soon so that they would have time to be trained underneath Dishong. Those interested in the position are encouraged to contact the borough office.
