Women Graduate from Classes

Herald of March 1, 1973

Two Roaring Spring area women, Miss Jennie D. Dively and Miss N. Kathryn Claar graduated on Friday Feb. 16 in the Home Health Aides Class and the Homemaker Class, respectively, conducted by the Blair County Home Nursing Agency. The Home Health Aide class taught basic nursing skills needed to help people in their homes. The Homemakers Class taught skills to assist in homes where the natural homemaker is unable to assume duties like cleaning and cooking.

Two Penn State students from the Cove area were doing student teaching during the winter term. Gwen Honsaker of Martinsburg was assigned to the Ferguson Township Elementary School in State College and Donna Mingle of Williamsburg was at Baker Elementary School in Altoona.

A canopy was installed at the ambulance entrance at Nason Hospital. The canopy will provide shelter, comfort and safety to patients being admitted and discharged at the entrance.
