Putting cows on the front page since 1885.
St. Francis University partnered with NASA to create the "Earth to Moon" exhibit, which is now being displayed at the Claysburg Area Public Library. On Feb. 1, three employees of St. Francis University, (shown below, from left) Michael Sell, Qin He, and Tim Miller, went to the library to teach the Claysburg-Kimmel fifth grade students about moon exploration.
Included in the exhibit is a large image that depicts a future exploration of the moon by the Artemis space mission. Pieces of Lunar meteorite rock are on display along with simulated dirt and dust from the moon. Large panels of the moon's image can be seen through 3D glasses (shown above). A student from the university created a 3D printed globe, which is also on display.
There is much more to explore at the exhibit. The exhibit will be at the Claysburg Area Public Library during the month of February. It is available during library hours: Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
