The Central Dragon Wrestlers had matches against the Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs and the Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers this week, and despite having a few individual victories, lost to both 54-21 and 30-28 respectively. However, at the "Bloody Run Duals," the Dragons did find one 36-30 victory against James Buchanan High School.
Against the Bulldogs, despite the overall team loss, four members found individual victories. Avery Campbell recorded a pin over Shawn Weyandt at 1:48, and Kaden Horn won an 8-3 decision over Tyler Mowry. Tyler Biesinger and Bailey Wilt both won matches by forfeit. The Dragons nearly edged out a victory over the Hilltoppers, but fell just short. Cameron Wenerick won a 13-3 major decision over Joe Nibert. Horn, Biesinger, Wilt and Isaac Smith all recorded forfeit victories for the Dragons.
At the Hollidaysburg "Bloody Run Duals," the Dragons faced opponents from five different schools and were victorious against one: James Buchanan High School. Wenerick had a pin at 0:49, Biesinger had a pin at 0:47, and Smith had a pin at 0:57. Campbell, Wilt, and Horn all recorded forfeit victories for the Dragons' overall win as well.
Heading back into regular matches, the Dragons will face the Forest Hills Rangers and the Richland Rams this week, as well as participate in the Claysburg-Kimmel Duals over the weekend.
