Gregory Takes Oath of Office for Third Term

Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair) took the oath of office Tuesday to begin his third term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

For the 2023-24 Legislative Session, Gregory's priorities include protecting the rights of responsible gun owners, supporting blind and paralyzed veterans through increases to their monthly pensions, helping farmers do business without burdensome regulations, repurposing vacant state properties as centers for vulnerable populations, and holding taxpayer-supported entities accountable for their spending. He also will champion creating a two-year window in which survivors of childhood sexual abuse could file lawsuits if the statute of limitations has otherwise expired in their case.

"I've been advocating for sexual abuse survivors for years. Unfortunately, I've encountered obstacle after obstacle, including the Pennsylvania Department of State failing to put the approved language on voters' ballots as a referendum question. Despite these setbacks, I'm undeterred in my passion for making this window for lawsuits a reality. My ongoing conversations with fellow survivors continue to fuel me," Gregory said.
