A three-hour power outage is planned for TOMORROW, JAN. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This will affect similar areas to the previous power outage. Customers affected will receive a call from Penelec.
The purpose of this power outage is to replace equipment.
An inspector went out to check the job on the pole located at South Main Street and State Street in Martinsburg that was replaced last week. He found an improper piece of hardware was used during the pole replacement and it needs to be changed out as quickly as possible. That’s the reason it is an emergency outage with short notice.
The outage will impact the same 700 or so customers from the original outage to replace the pole. The outage will run three hours tomorrow (Saturday) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A robo call was placed to customers earlier this afternoon giving the wrong time 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
