End of the Journey
I believe I can support the first part of this “Thought” with Scripture. The second part includes more speculation and less Scripture. The conclusion is a mix. Most certainly, Jesus is on His Journey to bring His Bride back to His eternal home. The Rapture of the Church is much anticipated and longed for. When the arch angel calls, the trumpet sounds, and the dead in Christ rise to meet Christ and the living Church in the air, it will be a thrilling reunion/union. Christ will have purified His Church by washing her with the waters of the Word. She will be a glorious Church. I have no doubt. Think of all the blessings: no sickness, no sorrow, all tears wiped away, no dying, no death, no sin, no temptations, no enemies opposing Christ and His Bride. Blessings of all sorts, physical and spiritual, will abound. The Spirit and The Bride are calling for Him to “Come.” Saints and angels will rejoice together forever. We will worship forever, the God Who loved us so much. But what about The holy God? Will all be perfect for Him? I know God can forget. He promised He will remember our sins no more. But will He forget those He lovingly created for Himself? He clearly tells us He loved all the peoples in this world. Scripture says there is joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents. Will there then not be sorrow in God’s heart over one sinner who refuses and rejects? God knows us so well and we know so little of how His heart must ache and break because of those who refuse His love. The push of a button will allow my computer to delete things from its memory. I do not doubt it is possible to wipe away the memories of our loved ones who reject God’s mercy. But, will God be able to do that? If we truly love God, will we not want Him to experience as we will the joys of no sadness, no sorrow, no tears because some for whom Christ died are missing? What can we do about it? Seriously I would encourage you: If you know someone or love someone who gives every indication of not loving God. The book “Evangelism Explosion” proposes you ask them two questions. 1. “If you were to die today, where would you spend eternity?” 2. “I you were to appear before God and He asked you, ‘Why should I let you into Heaven?’ how would you answer?” These questions will give you opportunity to introduce them to the “Plan of Salvation.” We all know that for some questions, there is only one possible answer. For instance: “How much is two plus two? Among all the billions of numbers, the only answer is four. What is the name and person who can admit you to Heaven?” The only answer is “Jesus.” “There is no other name under Heaven, given among men, whereby we can be saved. The only name is Jesus. Jesus said, “The Son of man (that is Jesus Himself) has come to seek and to save those who are lost.” In so saying and so doing, He made Himself the Groom. He is still on the journey to gather His Bride (humanity) to Himself. He is looking for you and those you love. Tell them, now. Once the Rapture happens, it will be too late. Once death comes, it will be too late. We do not know when either the rapture or the death of loved ones is scheduled to happen. So, do not put off your opportunity to ask the questions. Ask out of your love for them.
