Aldine M. Over, 81, of Woodbury, passed away Dec. 13, 2022, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1941, in Woodbury Township; daughter of the late Ira and Thelma (Shoop) Amick. On Oct. 9, 1965, at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren, she was united in marriage to Derry Over, who survives.
She is survived by her husband, Derry; son, Dan Over and wife Brenda of Woodbury; son, James Over and wife Karla of Woodbury; daughter, Nicole Fearnley and husband Jeremiah of Little Meadows; grandchildren Brendan (Alysha), Cole, Shelby, Lauren, Hannah, and Emma; great-grandson, Luke; sister, Teresa Persun of Florida; special niece, Caitie; and special nephew, Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by two infant children and an infant brother, Robert Amick.
Aldine was a graduate of the Northern Bedford County High School and the Altoona Business School. After business school, she landed a secretary job with Young's Nutrition.
Aldine worked alongside her husband Derry, on the family dairy farm for 46 years. She was involved with the PFA Woman's Committee and served as the Judge of Elections for Woodbury Township for 20 plus years. She was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Above all, Aldine loved the time she spent with her family. In her younger years, she cared for numerous foster children. Aldine enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren raise and show animals for 4-H and FFA projects.
A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Pastor David Ulm officiated. Interment was made in Dry Hill Cemetery.
