New Lady Bulldog Coach Has Faith in Senior Presence

Returning starters/letterwinners: Sarah Helsel, Bella Francona, Chelsie Noah, Zoie Weyant, and Cameron Lingenfelter

Newcomers: Bailey Tipton, Erika Feathers, and Betty Jean Mesmer

Strengths: We have a big senior class, and the practices have been competitive. I like our speed in the backcourt and strength down low.

Concerns: We lost two 1,000-point scorers, Bekah Claar and Bailey Garver, to graduation. We have one double-digit scorer back, but will need some other players to step up and score who have not been in that position before. Also, our overall inexperience is a real concern.

Overall outlook: Our inexperience will be tested immediately. We have an extremely difficult start to the season with the Art Burkett Memorial Tournament in Portage and 6 of our first 7 games on the road. How we respond and, hopefully, improve over that stretch will tell the tale.

Team goals: Compete for a spot in the Inter County Conference Final Four.
