Roaring Spring

Betty Ann Dick, 85, of Roaring Spring, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, at The Village at Morrisons Cove.

She was born Dec. 16, 1936, in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Joseph and Beulah (Scott) Mapes.

She married Larry P. Dick Oct. 3, 1955. He passed away Sept. 3, 2005.

She is survived by three children: Beth Burns and her husband, Herb, of Martinsburg; Bruce E. Dick and his wife, Mary, of Roaring Spring; and Kathy Baker and her husband, Jim, of Roaring Spring; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mabel Keagy, of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Joe, Dan, Paul, Tim and Dutch.

Betty graduated in 1955 from Roaring Spring High School, and was a member of Faith Assembly of God, Roaring Spring.

She enjoyed playing bingo, slots, watching Hallmark movies, camping, fishing, and she especially loved spending time with her family.

Betty was also a member of the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Williamsburg American Legion Auxiliary.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or service. Interment will be made in Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty’s memory may be given to Cove Cause For Cancer, 343 Ponderosa Lane, Roaring Spring, PA 16673.
