The quarterly meeting of the Frontier Patriots Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Creekside Inn Restaurant, 3059 Everett Road, East Freedom. The Frontier Patriots Chapter includes the counties of Bedford, Blair, Clearfield and Huntingdon.
All current members are encouraged to attend, as well as any male, 18 years of age or older, who desires to become a member.
To become a member, proof is required of lineal descent from a patriot who served during the Revolutionary War or who gave aid and support to American Colonists during the Revolution.
Some of the goals and purposes of the Sons of the American Revolution are patriotic, historical, and educational, including inspiring the community with a reverence for the principles of government as founded by our forefathers; fostering true patriotism; and encouraging historical research of the American Revolution.
