Erb Receives Certified Public Retirement Plan Professional Designation

The Pennsylvania Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems (PAPERS) has awarded Blair County Commissioner Bruce Erb designation as a Certified Public Retirement Plan Professional.

Certification requires an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a plan fiduciary, developing effective and prudent fiduciary decision making strategies, and implementing best practices for managing and overseeing the county's retirement plan.

Erb has served as chairman of the Blair County Retirement Board since taking office in 2016.

Since its founding in 2005, PAPERS has grown to a diverse group of members representing approximately $100 billion in pension fund assets and serving over a half million members. Its mission is to encourage and facilitate the education of its membership in all matters related to their duties as fiduciaries overseeing the assets of the pension funds with which they have been entrusted.
