Books to Borrow Claysburg Public Library Recommends

The Blair County Libraries have a new data base available to you. Are you wondering what you should read next? You know what you like, but do you know what books are out there that you would like? NoveList Plus helps you find the genre you like.

The very top of the page allows you to search by author, title, key word, series and narrator. If you are looking for a specific author or title, you can use this option

What appears at the top of the page is: “I’m in the mood for books that are…” The first option you see on this sight is the age level of reader. You can choose between Adult, Teen, Ages 9-12 and 0-8. Next you can choose what type of book you feel like reading, Suspense, Compelling, Character-driven, and intricately plotted. You will get a long list of books. Click on a book and you will get a description of the book and book reviews. On the right, you will get a list of read-alikes. Another way to search is to look at the far left of the page. You can choose fiction or non-fiction. It offers several genres under these categories. Using your library card, you can create a list of books that you want to read. It’s a great way to meet new authors and keep you up-to-date on books that you enjoy reading.

Once you choose your book, click on “Check the Library Catalog” and see if it is on our catalog. If not, call the library and we will search other libraries to get that book for you.
