Farm Show Fun

Above, Cheryl Cook, the deputy secretary for market development in Pennsylvania, presents the Friend of the Fair Award to Farm Show Board Treasurer Arianne Waddington.

"This is a labor of love for me," Waddington said to the crowd before the Farm Show Queen pageant.

She would often be asked to milk goats or her uncle would ask her for computer help for the farm show, and that's how she got started.

The Friend of the Fair Award is presented in all 108 fairs in Pennsylvania and is given to a volunteer of each fair who makes it go.
