NB Opens Middle School

The Northern Bedford School District opened the new middle school for grades 6-8 in the rear wings of the high school building with few problems. Completion of updates and improvements to the area were finished at the last minute, but the rooms were ready for the students.
Approximately 225 persons visited the newly renovated Taylor Building during an open house. The former classroom building was built in 1935 and renovated at a cost of $815,000 during the past year to serve as the administrative headquarters of the Spring Cove School District.
The After Five Club Christian Business and Professional Women celebrated their 50th anniversary with a dinner and fashion show presented by Joyce’s Fashion Corner, Roaring Spring.
Grace Delozier, a resident of Homewood Retirement Center turned 100 years old. The former Claysburg resident was honored with a surprise party at the home.
