Putting cows on the front page since 1885.
Northern Bedford County High School graduates from the classes of 1958 through 1962 will be receiving letters soon regarding the second annual reunion.
Set for Saturday, Oct. 8, at the former Replogle Elementary building in New Enterprise, it will begin with socializing at 11:15 a.m. This will be followed by a fried chicken dinner catered by Kountry Kettle. Cost is $20 per person. Dues of $10 per alumnus to help with other expenses would be appreciated.
Invitations will be mailed to graduates of Northern Bedford through the class of 1962 as well as alumni from Replogle, Smith, and Woodbury high schools previous to 1958. All graduates are invited to attend and would be welcomed. Postage money limits the amount of invitations to be mailed.
There will be a brief business meeting and election of officers for the coming year. It is hoped that new and younger people will be forthcoming. The Cove Community Theater Group will provide 1950-60s-style entertainment.
School memorabilia from any of the three root schools or early NBC is welcomed. Much from previous years will be on display in the former grade three room to be viewed before or after the meeting.
New ideas would be welcomed, such as how the group might set up a Facebook page.
If you do not receive an invitation but wish to attend, send a check payable to NBCSD to Sue Barton at 113 Graham Lane, Bedford, Pa. 15522 by the end of September.
