The Village of Morrisons Cove

Wanda J. Croft, 94, of The Village at Morrisons Cove, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning, August 3, 2022, at the home following an extended illness.

She was born March 25, 1928, in Ellington, MO., daughter of the late Clyde J. and Vergie M. (Newton) Rayfield. On Dec. 30, 1946, she married Richard A. Croft in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death Jan. 2, 2013, after 66 years of marriage.

She is survived by four children: Lucretia A. Bechtel and husband, John of New Port Ritchey, Fla .; Patty Wilson and husband, George of Hollidaysburg; Rick Croft of Hollidaysburg; and Scott Croft and wife, Tammy of Roaring Spring; six grandchildren: Bobbi Cunningham (Dave), Heidi Roseberry (Rich), Wade Kagarise, Corey Croft, Cale Croft, and Steven Croft. Four great-grandchildren: Kayla Kreider (Cole), Austin Cunningham, Jayden and Cade Davis; great-great grandson: Crosby Kreider; a brother-in-law: Pete Brumbaugh(Barbara); and two special sister-inlaws: Betsy Steward(Mike), and Doris Rayfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Geneva Weber and Shirley Henderson; four brothers: Willard, Bernell, Glendal, and Danny Rayfield; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Cox.

Wanda retired from Fonda Group Inc., Williamsburg with over 20 years service.

She was a member of Martinsburg Church of God and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be made in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
